Penguin Projects

We have spent the last week learning about Penguins.  We spent "Genius Hour" creating Penguin projects that show others what we learned.  Here are just a few photos to show what our room looked like as we created!

We also created an experiment to see if "blubber" could keep you warm.  It worked! 

Bridges

One of our challenges was to build a bridge.  Students were able to use lots of different materials and work together or on their own.  It was a lot of fun to see the creative side of these young engineers! I love how they kept trying until they were successful!  

                

Gingerbread

December brought a lot of fun activities.  We read a lot of different Gingerbread Man stories and made our own Gingerbread Man.  He was sneaky and had us running around the school hunting for him.
