We also had a lot of fun with our new math game, Roll and Record. Students are working on identifying dot images. Then we record the number of dots on our recording sheet.

Community Helpers
This was a very busy week. We finished our review of colors and began a social studies unit on community. The highlight of the week was a visit from our local fire department. All of the kindergarten students enjoyed learning about their job and reviewing fire safety with them!

Building our Reading muscles!
This week we really worked on building our reading muscles! We talked about why it is so important for us to become good readers and 3 ways to read a book. Reading-To-Self is one way we build our reading muscles. This week we were able to read for 6 minutes without stopping! Below are some photos of what Read-To-Self looks like in our classroom.
