More Gingerbread Fun!

Decorating our own Gingerbread people! One to eat, one to share!

Gingerbread Fun!

December is a great time for sharing many different versions of, The Gingerbread Man.  We compared characters, plot and settings.  We wondered what would really happen if the Gingerbread boy did get wet and we even made our own Gingerbread boy and girl!

Mrs. Shadman put them in the oven, but when we returned.... They had escaped!  So we went on a hunt to find them!

They left clues for us! Here Mrs. Tullo reads one to us!

They weren't with Mrs. Trotta!

We looked all over!

Mrs. Pitts read the clue on the music room door!

Mrs. Estes read the clue on the art room door!

Ms. Mac heard them!

Dr. King let us check her office!

We found them!

Headed back to the classroom to eat them!

Friendship

This week talked a lot about how the first settlers shared a harvest feast with the Native Americans.  We talked about what they might have eaten and some of the games they played.  We got together with our Cool Cat friends.  They shared two Turkey poems with us and we taught them the Turkey Tango!

STEM Challenge, Patterns, and 10 Dots

This was a busy week. We started with a STEM challenge to see who could design a plane to travel the farthest with the most pennies.  The plane that traveled the farthest was a 1 penny plane.  The plane that carried the most pennies was a 4 penny plane.

We also built patterns on the active board and learned a new game called "Add On" in math.

We also did a project with 10 Black Dots.  Students came up with their 10 dot pictures and even used their sounds to spell!
