Egg Hunt!

Many birds lay their eggs in the spring.  We decided to hunt for some before leaving for Spring Break.

It didn't take too long for the all the eggs to be collected!  Everyone had a great time! Thank you to everyone that sent in milk jugs and eggs! 

Spring

Spring has sprung and the penguins took some time to write about spring! We have talked a lot about having our illustration tell a story.  The students work on drawing with pencil first.  Then add real life colors and details.  This makes writing so much easier. These will be put up no the bulletin board when completed.

Inquiry Writing

As we wondered about farms, we used an "animal tree map" to list things that animals can, do, and have.  We used these to write about the animal we were interested in.  We enjoyed learning how to sketch the animal.

Leprechaun Fun!

On Friday, we had a little fun sorting and recording our Lucky Charms cereal.  We created traps for a leprechaun, but we weren't able to catch him, and he made a mess of our room!  He did leave a little treat in everyone's mailbox.
