Mystery Reader

We have enjoyed having the mystery readers come in each Monday.  Thank you to all that were able to come in and share favorite stories with us! 

Challenges

During our content time we sometimes have fun challenges.  Ms. Breaud challenged us to make masks and Mrs. Z asked us to build a form of transportation!  Here we are working on both challenges! 

Shape Work

We have been looking and building shapes.  We used geo boards, geo blocks, pattern blocks and clay during our explorations.  We worked on pattern block patterns and found several ways to fill a hexagon.  Below are just some of the things we did during our shape investigation.

This fall we practiced taking our time to look closely at something like scientists do.  Below you will find our observational drawings of fall leaves!

Patterns

We have been enjoying our work on patterns.  We are finding them everywhere and  have been building all kinds.  We are practicing reading patterns like mathematicians.

First Weeks

We have spent the first few weeks getting to know one another and the materials we will be using this year.  We are creating a caring group of learners that want to be kind and safe so that everyone's hope/dream can begin to come true.  Here you will find photos and mini updates on how the year is going.  Hope you enjoy following this group of Penguins through the school year!
